It is recommended you spray your house at least 3 times per year. The best time is in the Spring (April/May), in the Summer (July/August), and then again in the Fall (September/October/November).
This schedule will help to keep your home free of most pests including spiders. We recommend spraying the entire outside of your house, including underneath the eaves of the house, the siding, around the base of the foundation, and out into the yard. We do spray underneath the house or basement. This is only recommended once per year as a cleanout. We recommend spraying inside the house only if you are having a problem with insects inside! If you haven’t received a good spray in a few years or more, it is best to do the inside because an exterior spray will not kill anything on the inside of the house. After that, the maintenance sprays will help keep the spiders out!
Keep your trees & shrubs looking good all year long! Common pests are Elm Beetle, Box elder bugs, Aphids, Earwigs, and Clover mites. We can also spray your yard to help control mosquitoes, gnats, and other biting insects!
Depending on what trees & shrubs you have in your yard, there are several solutions to keeping them pest free.
Our certified arborists, Greg and Charlie, are available to perform tree health evaluations, disease diagnosis and treatments for diseases.
Pre-Emergent and Systemic treatments:
We offer pre-emergent dormant oil sprays in the Spring (February/March), which will smother the eggs left over from last year. This is very effective on aphids and box elder bugs. The systemic treatment is injected into the ground around the dripline of the tree or shrub and is very effective on most trees & shrubs, including fruit trees, such as apple and pear trees. It is not recommended on peach, apricot, cherry, or nectarine trees. It is guaranteed to last ONE YEAR. The best time for treatment is Early Spring (February), or fall (November). Fertilization can also be done at the same time!
Pre-emergent control of weeds:
Pre-emergent weed treatments are an effective way to control many annual weeds with a minimum of effort. The chemicals prevent seed germination from occuring. The herbicides do require an adequate amount of moisture to activate the products, about ½ inch within 30 days of application. The best time of year to apply the pre-emergent is between November 15th and February 15th.
We have several products which are safe for your existing trees, shrubs and plants, even bulbs in your flowerbeds! We can control weeds in your lawn as well. We recommend the pre-emergent treatment for established plants only (6 months of prior establishment). If you intend to plant in an area, we recommend not treating the area for at least 6 months.
In order to effectively target your weeds, please try to be as specific as possible with the types of weeds you have. We recommend that you clean up your yard as best as possible to remove all the old weeds prior to treatment. People and animals are allowed on treated soils after the chemical spray has dried. Traffic should be limited as much as possible until after incorporation occurs. Call today for your free estimate.
Post-emergent weed control:
Does your yard look like a jungle? No problem! With post-emergent treatments, the weeds which have already germinated can be killed with an herbicide. We recommend doing this treatment in the early spring while the weeds are still immature. This can be done at anytime the plant has germinated to 2" or more. This treatment is recommended between March 1st and April 15th. Don't wait to let your weeds get too large! Again, please be a specific as possible with the types of weeds you are having trouble with so we can effectively target them. Call today for your free estimate.
Sterilants & Long-Term control:
If you are wanting total control & want nothing to grow for at least 1 year, we do have very potent herbicides. These chemicals are NOT safe for your existing trees & shrubs & will give total control for those lots where you want NOTHING to grow!
There are several different types of rodents which can invade your home and yard. We take very special care not to harm your pets. All mouse baits are placed in tamper-resistant boxes. Mice, squirrels, packrats, gophers, voles, and moles are the most common in this area.
Mouse control is recommended at least 2 times per year. We can place bait in boxes and traps in the garage and the sub-area of your house to control them. This can be done at the same time as you insect control!
Yellowjackets, wasps and hornets can become a nuisance in late summer. A heavy aphid infestation on trees and shrubs will also attract the wasps into your yard. Spraying of your eaves and yard can help make your summer BBQ’s more enjoyable! We can easily spray down nests out of large trees up to 30 feet tall!
Honey bees have recently become threatened, so we must recommend you contact a local bee keeper if you have a nest or swarm! If the bee keeper cannot remove the bees, then we can be called in to spray and eliminate.
Having problems with ants invading your house? It is best to control them as soon as there is a problem. Common types of ants include Odorous House Ants, Harvester Ants (Harvester ants are controlled through the use of ant baits), Carpenter ants, and Velvety Tree Ants. All of these ants can be controlled with spraying and baits.
We can treat most any termite infestation. We mainly have western subterranean termites in Northern Nevada. Western subterranean termites are a serious problem to home-owners in Northern Nevada. The Western subterranean termite is one of the most destructive termites in North America. It is estimated that more than 1 in 5 homes in the high risk activity areas, have been or will be attacked at sometime by these voracious little insects. Signs of infestation include the presence of swarmers, wings or damaged wood.
When land is cleared of this material and houses are built on these sites, termites attack the structures. Termites can enter buildings through wood in direct contact with the soil, by building shelter tubes over or through foundations, or by entering directly through cracks or joints in and under foundations. Pre-construction termite treatments can prevent future infestations. FHA, VA, and HUD loans generally require a pre-construction termite treatment be done on all new constructions! Before you purchase your home, you may want to consider a wood-destroying pest inspection. The inspector looks for any several things including:
1. Infestations of wood-destroying pests including carpenter ants, termites, and wood-destroying fungus.
2. Conditions condusive to infestations such as excessive moisture, earth-to-wood contact, faulty soil grades, and inadequate ventilation, cellulose debris.

Our inspectors are licensed, qualified and experienced. We do thorough and complete inspections!

We can install vapor barriers underneath houses to help control moisture underneath your home, correct earth-to-wood contacts, correct faulty soil grades, and remove cellulose debris. We can also do Fungus treatments.
Common insects treated for property managements, restaurants, and commercial buildings are bedbugs, cockroaches, mice, spiders, fleas, and flies. All of these can be treated by our experienced technicians.
